Woo, Saturday!
The upcoming week is going to be a bit weird for various reasons (with the interment of my grandparents’ ashes coming up next week, travel, etc), but I have lots of reading plans to keep me cheerful and occupied.
Books acquired this week
This week, I haven’t bought or been given anything new, but I did drop by the library, so I do have some interesting finds! First up, fiction/graphic novels:
And then a bunch of non-fiction! Something of an unusual mix, as ever — and that’s the way I like it.
Posts from this week
It was a quieter week on the blog this week, but let’s do a quick roundup of the reviews:

The only other post was my chatter for What Are You Reading Wednesday!
What I’m reading
I feel like I’ve done quite a lot of reading this week, but I haven’t yet counted it up, so let’s see. As usual, here’s the sneak peek of the books I’ve finished off this week (excluding any I don’t intend to review on the blog)…
So… yep, quite a lot of reading! This weekend I’m probably looking to dig into Uketsu’s Strange Houses, since it’s probably due back at the library. I’ll probably also read one of the library books from a couple of weeks ago, Nineteenth-Century Fashion in Detail. Other than that… who knows!
Linking up with Reading Reality’s Stacking the Shelves, Caffeinated Reviewer’s The Sunday Post, and the Sunday Salon over at Readerbuzz.
A very eclectic bunch as usual! City of Ravens is one I’d love to check out.
It was a very random choice, but it looks interesting!
Hope you have a great week!

Thank you!
The Last Tale of the Flower Bride looks interesting, and I’m really curious about Fabulous Frocks.

Yeah, I hadn’t come across The Last Tale of the Flower Bride before, but the blurb made me very curious.
You’re reading so many books and I’m way behind on my list. I hope you have a great week! It’s pouring rain where I live.

I’m actually way behind my original reading goal for the year — it seems to be boom and bust with me!
What a fun stack you have here! I picked up City of Ravens the other day at the bookstore but I put it back. Now I’m questions why I did that. I’ll have to circle back on that one.
*questioning why 😉

It looks interesting! I’m not sure how rigorous it is, but sometimes it’s just fun to try things anyway.
A book about cannibalism. OMG I never in a million years expected to see a book on that topic.

It was a bit of a random choice, but I’m curious what it has to say! Especially since it talks about kuru.
The Far Edges of the Known World sounds like a book I’d enjoy reading. It won’t be here until later in the month, and right now I don’t see any of my libraries that has ordered it. I may have to wait a bit.
You had a busy reading week!

I spotted it on the “new books” shelf in the library and immediately thought “yup, that looks like one for me!”, heh.
City of Ravens and The Genius Myth both look really good!
I’m looking forward to giving both a shot! I saw an interesting review of The Genius Myth, so I put it on hold at the library, and wasn’t quite expecting to see it arrive yet, but I’m sure I’ll fit it in, ahaha.
Your interests are quite eclectic, LOL! I love pursing the library to see what I can find. Have a good week!

I do like reading around, heh. 😀
That’s a diverse set of choices. Happy reading.

The Far Edges of the Known World was a random find on the new books stand, but it felt like it was put there to tempt me specifically, hehe.
Oh, I remember coming across The Last Tale of the Flower Bride some time ago. I loved the cover art but I’d forgotten all about it! I’ll be stalking your blog to see what you think about it once you’ve read it!
