Well, that was a Christmas! Lots of books have been acquired, including a vast amount of Daisy Dalrymple, and with that I have nooo problem!
Books acquired:
Books read this week:
Number of books in: 12
Number of books read: 5
Number of books from the backlog read: 1
Rereads: 3
Library books: 0
Bought 2018: 1
Out and about:
–Once Upon A Blue Moon: ‘Christmas Limericks.‘ I wrote a limerick for each of our bunnies for the tag of their Christmas presents. This post has all four.
–NEAT science: ‘Types of flu vaccine.‘ Why are there three different types, and why do people get a different one based on age? I tell all!
And that’s it for this week! It’s been a very quiet week around here. Back to normal operations soon!
So how’s everyone else been? Good Christmas, if you celebrate?
I am in awe at how much reading you get done in a week! Christmas for me was a bit stressful, and definitely less time than usual for books!

Quiet Christmas. I spent it cooking and blogging like every other day really! No books from Santa but I have a few things ordered! They’ll arrive in January!
I’m particularly impressed by the wording in the titles you pictured, real skill is required to combine the strange-but-familiar phrases with apposite labels for the subject matter and genre, and most of them work for me.
It’s that strange lull between Christmas and New Year, a kind of no-man’s-land where work and lassitude are concerned. I’m rereading Northern Lights for its wintry setting and because I’m anxious whether the Beeb’s version, now in post-production, will be true to Pullman’s text and spirit.
I am thrilled to see The Poppy War on your list of new books! An Easy Death was really good too, I was surprised how much I liked it considering I did not care for her Sookie Stackhouse series, but this one was excellent.
