Hello folks!
This is just a quick update to say that I’ve noticed that emails aren’t (always?) going out to subscribers as they used to. Sometimes they do (as far as I can tell, they did on 12th December and 19th December, for example), and sometimes they don’t. I have a suspicion that it’s the difference between posts where I hit “publish” right away, and the posts I schedule.
So this is both a test and (hopefully) a notification: something’s weird with my emails, and I’m on it!
If you’ve been receiving all the emails for the posts (like my daily reviews, and the Top Ten Tuesday post earlier), then that’d be useful to know as well.
Sorry about the extra post today, if you’re getting spammed by it after all, but obviously I want to make good and sure that emails are working for everyone. And let me also take this opportunity to say “Happy New Year”!
Happy New Year to your good self! 🙂 I don’t think I get emails (for any blog) anyway, so no help there, but I have noticed the ‘Like’ button gets stuck on ‘Loading’ about 90% of the time these days for some reason?
Out of curiosity, are you using Firefox? I’ve found that WordPress blogs are often goofy in Firefox, until I turn off “Advanced Tracking Protection”. That fixed the like button for me, but not for someone else, so I’m a bit stumped on that.
Sorry, missed the reply, but no I’m using Chrome. They’ve been doing weird things, too, so maybe it’s that.
Although it all seems to be working a lot better today!
Hmm, weird. I think an adblocker screwed it up for someone, too? Thanks for the update, anyway!
Ooh – and just under the ‘Post Comment’ button I’m seeing:
“Internal Server Error.
There has been a critical error on this website.” 🙁
Interesting, I’ll pass it on to Adam, since he has logs and stuff. Seems like stuff was mostly working for you though? Thanks for letting me know!
I don’t know about the emails but wordpress has just been really acting up lately. On your blog, one thing I experience is that sometimes your “like this” button doesn’t show up.
I was noticing that in Firefox until I turned off “Enhanced Tracking Protection” for breathesbooks.com in the browser, and then things have been okay. But for somebody else that didn’t work, so… I’m a bit stumped.
