Oops. This week has been one of wild indulgence. Granted, some of these were preordered — it’s been a heck of a week for books I wanted coming out! There’s one or two more I don’t even have, likeΒ Empire Ascendant by Kameron Hurley. Yeesh.
(Well, some of these I didn’t preorder, just picked up as soon as I could, with new money coming into my account for the start of the month. It hit me rather harder than I expected!)
Bought
Uh. Yes. Quite the haul, I know. And I actually wonΒ Mythmaker, but putting it there stops there being one book hanging out on its own.
(Yes, I quite literally have OCD, I know this.)
Library
How I wish these numbers were the other way round and I had gone nuts at the library instead! Ah well. I have lots of reservations due in next week…
How’s everyone else been doing? I’m feeling pretty worn out and run down at the moment; there’s family stuff going on, and sometimes I think I might just need a good hug. Books make it a bit more bearable, though — coming out of the library with an armful of new pocket universes to hide in is a heady feeling.
Don’t forget to link me to your hauls! Direct links are helpful and save me having to track you down to return the comments.
Great haul! Happy reading π
Danielle @ Life With Two Boys
Thanks!
Books can be such a comfort when we hit those bad spells or crappy days-I dig out Harry Potter when I really need a comfort read or distract myself with some zombie action…I’ve got Fangirl and Eleanor & Park on my tbr although they are miles away from what I usually read so we’ll see how I get on with that! Hope you enjoy your books this week!
Yeah, indeed! My grandma’s not well (cancer), so I think there are lots of books in my future…
I find Rowell’s books really comforting, but I can’t picture you getting on with them, somehow!
What a great haul! I also got Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children this week! π
Happy reading! π
It looks like a good October/Hallowe’en read, doesn’t it? Thanks for dropping by.
Oh my goodness, Nikki, your new stack looks great! Of course, there are a few on there which aren’t really for me, but others I think I’d really like – especially Every Secret Thing. And I also own Miss Pelegrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
I haven’t read any Rowell books yet, but I’ll definitely start soon (ish).
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading.
Susanna Kearsley is one where we just might agree! I love her books.
Many new books to me! I have the Peregrine one but I need to try it I confess. Happy reading!
It looks like it’s gonna be a good Hallowe’en read, really! That might’ve been why I finally grabbed it.
Okay all I saw was the Shadow and Bone purple cover OMG IT IS PURPLE! I loved Six of Crows, but Shadow and Bone was my second favorite Bardugo novel. π I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Have a fabulous week. π
Check out my STS post!
I’m just starting reading Leigh Bardugo’s work! I picked up the second two Grisha books at the weekend. Six of Crows sounds like it might be even more my thing.
I am sorry you’re not feeling so great right now π I am feeling the same way, and it is NOT fun. But at least you got a ton of great books! I am curious about Court of Fives and Zeroes! And I LOVE the purple cover of Shadow and Bone!! I need that in my life, for sure! Hope this week has been treating you better π
Eh, the stress goes on since it’s family illness, but hey, at least we have books, right?!
