Last Saturday I was at a convention, and there was a dealer’s room and a swap table, sooo… yeah, unsurprisingly, I have some new additions!
Bought
I’ve been meaning to read the first two for ages, and the latter involves Arthurian references, so I couldn’t resist.
Swap table/freebies
Sadly, I didn’t really have anything to contribute to the swap table, since I didn’t know it was there in advance, so I am paying it forward by using Bookcrossing to send some books on a new journey.
ARCs
I’m surprised I was allowed access to Armada, since it’s definitely out and has plenty of buzz, but I’m not arguing! And I need to read the first two books in Sarah Monette and Elizabeth Bear’s series first, but I’m excited to do so!
Library
Mostly a grab bag of my favourite comfort reads. My grandmother’s not very well, so I feel like I deserve it!
How’s everyone else doing?
Ohhhh, I can’t wait to see what you think of London Falling! I keep meaning to pick that up, it sounds so good.
I’ve mostly seen good reviews, and I just read The Witches of Lychford, so I’m curious!
I tried Black Magic Woman a good few years back but it didn’t really appeal to me. I’ve never taken to anything by that author. Hope you have a better time with it!
I liked a couple of his books with Angry Robot, so I think I’m probably going to enjoy this at least a little!
You’ve got quite a few titles that I’m not familiar with at all. I hope you love all your new books.

Thanks! It’s an exciting bunch.
I only recognize two books. All the rest are new to me authors. I’m curious about Black Magic Woman.
Great haul!
Happy reading!
I just managed to pick up another book in the same series for £1, so I think life wants me to read ’em! Thanks for dropping by.
Enjoy Armada! I liked it, though the reviewer reactions seem to be quite mixed. And I got a copy of Apprentice to Elves too. I heard from the publicist that you don’t need to read the first two to jump right in though, which is great because I haven’t read them either!
I’m enjoying it so far! It’s very like Ready Player One, really, but it’s still fun. And oh, good to know about Apprentice to Elves! Thanks for telling me.
The Mary Stewart books look very appealing. Love the fashionable covers.
I love the books! Favourite comfort reading.
I completely forgot about Shanghai Sparrow – I really wanted to read that one. King’s Dragon I’ve had sitting on the shelves for far too long.
The Emperor’s Blades was fantastic . . . and the sequel is even better. 🙂
It looks fun, doesn’t it?
Good to know…
I haven’t heard of these but I hope you enjoy them! 🙂
Thanks!
I just got a copy of Armada too, I cannot wait to start! Enjoy!
