Stacking the Shelves

I’ve really behaved myself this week, aside from one trip to the library — and that to pick up hard copies of books I mostly have somewhere as ebooks anyway. (Normally I am super pro-ereader, but for some reason I really can’t focus on reading on mine at the moment.) The Detection Club books are the only ones I didn’t already have somewhere — I had The Supernatural Enhancements as an ARC.

Borrowed

Cover of Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor Cover of Fire by Kristin Cashore Cover of The Supernatural Enhancements by Edgar Cantero

Cover of Ask A Policeman by the Detective Club Cover of The Anatomy of Murder by the Detective Club Cover of The Favourite by Mathew Lyons

I didn’t even seem to have any comics this week! I’m quite impressed with my ability not to wildly one-click everything, considering my mother and my GP separately told me they think I’m going to have to have a charming operation, sigh. Trust me to have gallstones even without a gallbladder.

What’s everyone else been up to? Any joyful trips to the library for you?

  1. I read a lot of Tudor books but I’ve sort of stopped reading the Elizabeth I based ones-I think too many of them turned out to be too similar and I just needed a break from them! I haven’t read The Favourite so I might get to that in the future. Enjoy!

    • I forget how much you’re into non-fiction, but The Favourite is non-fic, or I probably wouldn’t go for it. The Elizabethan period seems a bit tapped-out fictionally…

I didn’t much care for The Supernatural Enhancements, but hopefully it works better for you.

This week I am rereading my Anne Bishop books, and I had to download Skylar Dorset’s books again because I just realized that they didn’t get transferred off my chromebook before it was wiped.

I was so good this week and I only bought Giant Days #1 and Bill and Ted #1 comics wise, mostly because they were on sale, and I can afford $2!

    • I just realised that I didn’t get the first issue of A-Force. Will have to rectify that! Yay for comics on sale! I’m not sure why that reminded me about A-Force…

I can’t wait to see what shakes out of Secret Wars/Battleworld – I’m going to wait to pick any titles up, I just can’t afford them all! Hey, if I reminded you of A-Force, it’s all good ^^
