I’ve been looking forward to this since Lynn and I were first talking about it. So come on, join in! We’re celebrating Strange Chemistry now that it’s been shut down; the authors deserve and need support right now, and a great way for bloggers to do that is creating buzz. So you, me, Lynn, everyone we can get our hands on: August, 1st-31st. To take part, you only need to read one Strange Chemistry book, so it doesn’t matter if you think you’re the slowest reader in the world.

Here’s my list of probable reads:
- Pantomime and Shadowplay, by Laura Lam.
- Shift and Control, by Kim Curran.
- Blackwood and The Woken Gods, by Gwenda Bond.
- Zenn Scarlett, by Christian Schoon.
- The Pirate’s Wish, by Cassandra Rose Clarke.
- Stolen Songbird, by Danielle L. Jensen.
Some of these I should’ve got round to ages ago, so it’ll be good to have an excuse, and company on the journey.
I just finished The Assassin’s Curse and loved it. The Pirate’s Wish is next on my list.
I loved it too. I should look up your review when I’m not falling asleep face-first on my computer!
I’ve only read Stolen Songbird on that list. I tried with Zenn Scarlett and had to DNF it – and I rarely DNF. But nice that you’re trying to support the books given that they imprint had to close =(
Boo, that doesn’t sound hopeful. Oh well, we’ll see!
Or an Exhibit A book! Exhibit A books totally count too! But yay I’m so excited for next month! And we have more overlap than I was expecting, too. I was sure we’d have almost none, but we do. Yay!
This is true! I just never really got on with Exhibit A, so I forget to keep mentioning them. (I tried! But I don’t think my tastes and the editor’s matched up well.)
That’s pretty much my issue too! Except I haven’t tried any of the books yet because our tastes mismatch that much. 🙁 I’m hoping someone will know of a good recommendation for me to try, though. ^_^
Yes, that’d be good. Maybe during the reading month someone’ll come up with something!
I am going to read Poltergeeks, of course, and I bought The Assassin’s Curse on sale yay!
I do love Cassandra Rose Clarke, though my favourite was published under Angry Robot, I think. (The Mad Scientist’s Daughter.)
