Cover of My Real Children by Jo Walton

You can maybe sense a Jo Walton shaped theme going on here. I can’t wait for My Real Children, and decided to do some rereading while I’m waiting. Among Others should be especially interesting, as the first read had me very emotional and wrapped up in it, and my friends claim that they see me in it a lot.

Obviously, I’ve been excited about Dreams of Gods and Monsters for a while and I am so glad I finally have it. I’ve been looking for ARCs of Tropic of Serpents, too, and I haven’t read much Robin Hobb lately, but you better believe I’m excited about Fool’s Assassin. I’m surprised I got approved for it. I’m pretty excited by Half a King, too. In short, I’ve had a really lucky week.

  1. You had an amazing week. I LOVE Maya’s poem it’s actually the first poem I memorized as a child. I also have Bone Season, I can’t wait to hear what you think. I’m waiting on my real children as well, you gotta let us know what you think. Enjoy your spoils.

    • I’m trying to think what my first memorised poem was — Pablo Neruda’s ‘If I Die’ (in English), I think.

I can’t wait for My Real Children. It can’t get here soon enough.

  2. I heard so many great things about Laini Taylor, I really need to try her series! I’m also curious about the bone season, saw a lot of wonderful reviews about it. happy reading!

  3. Great haul! The Bone Season sounds so amazing; I’ve wanted to read it since it came out last year. Laini Taylor’s series sounds really good as well, I’ve heard such great things about it. I hope you enjoy your books!

  4. UnderMountainBooks

Ooh Dreams of Gods and Monsters! Now I’ve finally read Daughter of Smoke and Bone I feel like I can finally join in with the excitement. Although I still need to read the second book which I’m hoping to do in the next couple of weeks.

This week I visited UK’s most beautiful library! Find me Under The Mountain

  5. I also have Dreams of Gods and Monsters but haven’t started reading it. I’m anticipating the ending, but I want to prolong the excitement. I also have The Bone Season. Man, I’m a hoarder! Anyway, you seem to have had an awesome week, and you had time to reread, too πŸ™‚

  6. I picked up Dreams of Gods & Monsters last week too, though the Aussie cover is just blue with the words across the front, not as cool as that cover. Thanks for stopping by earlier. I’m about to start the Uglies series later today.
