My mother is attempting to incentivise me actually finishing books by giving me a £5 Amazon voucher per 5 books I finish. Obviously, as she says, it has to be books from the list of books/books in series I’m currently reading, or she’d be bankrupt in no time. Accidently, yes. My attention span isn’t great at the moment, so I’m being a bit grasshopper minded about books. I keep picking up new ones without finishing previous ones!
I only have 4 books going right now, but I read them at different times. One for the train, one for short bus and train rides, one for at home, and the other is actually 4 books in one omnibus that I’ll be working on reading in the future.
I did have a system sort of like that (one book on each ereader, one from the library, one from my shelves), but it got lost somewhere along the line… I’d like to get back to that.

Fantastic list! Sometimes I start 2 or 3 simultaneously, for different moods, but so many at once… Wow. How do you keep them organized in your mind, I mean the secondary characters, the descriptions and so on?
Answer: with difficulty! Normally I wouldn’t have nearly so many in progress, I don’t know how I got into this state!
