Just two books bought so far this week — I couldn’t resist it, since it’s N.K. Jemisin and set in her The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms world. And there’s Terry Pratchett’s essay on death, which supports assisted dying, a subject I’m very interested in, even if it’s a little morbid sat here in my STS post!
I’m excited for The Fifth Season, too. I’ve got a preorder, so hopefully I’ll get that one as soon as it’s out.
Library
Hurrah, so glad The Dark Blood of Poppies came in for me at the library before I had to leave for my holiday. Relief! Now I can get on with that.
Terry Pratchett’s final farewell on Twitter had me all choked up when I read it. It was the perfect send off though, having Death walk into the sunset with him, so to speak. I think assisted dying is a subject that needs to be talked about a lot more in order to find the right way forward. Enjoy your reading!
Yep, me too. And I’ve read the essay now and it had the same effect. I’m so glad we had him.
I got myself a copy of Of Bone and Thunder last month too. And I hope to read N.K. Jemisin’s Shades in Shadow once I’ve actually read her Inheritance trilogy, but I did read The Fifth Season and it was amazing.
I had it as an ARC long ago, so this is another one of those guilt loans, heh. Must get round to it soon. I do recommend waiting until you’ve read the trilogy for Shades in Shadow; I almost wish I’d reread them recently myself.
Excellent haul of books this week. I hope you love all of your new books this week.

Thank you!
It looks as if you have gotten a lot of good books. Of Bone and Thunder seems especially interesting.
My STS Post
I had it as an ARC, so I really must get round to it now! Heh. Thanks for dropping by.
Awesome haul! I read Graceling a while ago though I never got around to reading Fire or Bitterblue. I hope you enjoy your books. 🙂

I’m enjoying Bitterblue so far; they’re not one continuous story, so if you feel like getting back on the wagon… heh.
I hope you have a great week!

Thanks!
You got a lot of books with great covers this week. Hope you enjoy them and I am glad your book came in before your vacation. Have a great reading week!
Thanks! I’m looking forward to them all.
I really hope you enjoy Bitterblue! I read that series years ago! I personally liked the first two books a lot more, but I know many people love the last book!
Here is my StS

I’m enjoying it so far! The tone is different somehow, though.
Great haul. I hope you enjoy them all 🙂 I really need to hurry up and start Graceling, I’ve heard good things about that series.
Thank you! And I think you’ll like Graceling; I did, anyway.
