Stacking the Shelves

Time for the Stacking the Shelves meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. Busy week! These actually came in an assortment of omnibuses, but seeing the individual books with their old covers seems more fun to me.

Oh, and one final review copy…

Cover of Pretty Deadly by Kelly Sue DeConnick

I’m not a big fan of Emma Rios’ style, but I do enjoy Kelly Sue DeConnick’s work, so I’m excited. And yes, this post is pretty much the Steven Brust and Kelly Sue DeConnick show.

What’s everyone else been up to?

  1. I need to make more effort in my reading. I bought 15 books this week in paperback and only read three chapters of one book! That is pretty poor. Enjoy your books!

  2. The cover of pretty deadly is gorgeous. I’ve not read any of these books before – never actually heard of most of them… but they look interesting. Hope you enjoy reading your way though them! 🙂

  3. I’ve never read Steven Brust. I’m assuming from this pile of yours that it’s worth checking it out? I’m looking forward to seeing what you think of Pretty Deadly. If the inside is as pretty as the outside, I’m definitely interested. Thanks for stopping by Tynga’s Reviews!

    • I’ve read the first book and two chapters of the second, and I’d say yes! Jo Walton enthusiastically recommends them, too. Her posts on Tor.com are worth reading if you’re interested in Brust.

  4. I’m a big fan of comics & graphic novels, so Pretty Deadly grabbed my attention. I hope you enjoy all your new books & thanks for visiting my post!
